All great goals have a beginning, a middle and an end “A journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step”. To know where you are to your goal and to experience that wonderful feeling of EIS (End In Sight) write down a rough outline of your project. It can be a simple stage by stage process.
Add the plan to your wall or track key points on your calendar to establish your progress and review it regularly.
3 Stay Focussed
One of your major challenges will be to avoid distractions. The universe will sometimes seemingly conspire to derail you by presenting you with problems and distractions. If you truly want to achieve your goals you need to prioritise.
Ask yourself if this distraction really needs your attention or do you just think it does.
Staying focussed on the task in hand and seeing it through to completion is the key element of achieving your goals.

4 Avoid Temptation
Inevitably when you are trying to achieve your goal something will crop up that will tempt you away from it, it may be a night out or a TV programme or just taking a rest from your goals, while you should ensure you get proper rest in order to maintain your effectiveness, It is at these key points when you feel like stopping that you must push on. Reward yourself when you have reached key parts of your goal. Allow yourself a treat in exchange for hitting a small milestone and, it will motivate you further.
5 Optimism Pays
In line with point 1 you have to stay optimistic at all times. The difference between a great idea and a bad one is often optimism. Even if you come across difficulties, make sure you stay positive. Pick yourself up after each fall and resolve to become better the next time and to use any failures as a learning opportunity. Experience is the best teacher so learn from it.
